The ice storm that pommeled the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and other areas in Southern Ontario last December 2013 left behind massive damage to residential power lines. While Toronto Hydro, the city’s largest distributor of electricity, worked on restoring the grid, they say that household electrical repairs are best carried out by trained professionals, as opposed to by the homeowners themselves. CEO Anthony Haines expressed talk about this matter, as reported by CTV News Toronto.
